UITS PDA/SmartPhone Support


UITS will provide different levels of support depending on whether a mobile device is University owned or privately owned. Levels of support are detailed below:

University Owned Devices


Our support covers:
  • Only devices running Windows Mobile v5+
  • Assistance with synchronization of Exchange e-mail, contacts and calendar
  • Set-up of the synchronization with Exchange e-mail, contacts and calendar
  • Service set up with cellular carrier
  • Hardware repairs/replacements
    • Call: (860)486-4357 select option for Cellular Services.

Note: You must have your device with you when you call. For troubleshooting purposes, call from another telephone.

Non-University Owned Devices

Our support covers:

  • Documentation of the synchronization with UConn Exchange e-mail, contacts and calendar on devices running Windows Mobile v5+

For Exchange Support on personnally owned devices:

Note: If you are using a personal mobile device to connect to the UConn Exchange e-mail system, additional access expenses may occur. You are responsible for any additional charges incurred.  Check with your mobile device carrier to determine what your cellular plan covers.
